Marketing Manager, Cognitive Design
Cognitive Design Systems (CDS) has entered a formal partnership with the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), one of the UK's leading applied research organizations in advanced manufacturing technology.
Under the agreement, Cognitive Design is integrated into MTC's internal R&D programs and actively recommended to its network of more than 100 industrial members, spanning Aerospace, Defense, Space, and Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. For engineering organizations within that network, the partnership creates a validated, structured path to evaluate the platform in the context of real engineering programs, not controlled benchmarks.
The Manufacturing Technology Centre operates at the intersection of applied research and industrial adoption. Based in Coventry and part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, the MTC works directly with large OEMs and industrial partners to bridge the gap between emerging manufacturing technology and production-ready implementation. Its member network gives it both institutional credibility and direct access to the engineering teams that evaluate and adopt new design software.
This context is central to the value of the partnership for CDS. Being integrated into MTC's toolchain and recommended through its member channels positions Cognitive Design within the decision-making environment of exactly the engineering organizations the platform is built for.
The partnership includes a technical integration layer, aligning Cognitive Design's parametric workflows with MTC's existing toolchain so that member organizations can begin evaluating the platform within their actual engineering environment, without a lengthy onboarding phase.
This distinction matters in practice. A software platform integrated into an active R&D program is assessed against real part families, real manufacturing constraints, and real performance targets. The conclusions that come out of that process carry a different weight than those produced in a controlled, isolated evaluation.
"The MTC sits at the center of the UK's advanced manufacturing community, and that is exactly where we want Cognitive Design to be proven. This partnership gives engineering teams a direct, trusted path to see what manufacturing-driven generative design can do on real programs, not benchmarks."
Rhushik Matroja, CEO, Cognitive Design Systems
Organizations within the MTC membership now have access to Cognitive Design through a vetted, supported channel. The integration into active R&D programs means the platform can be assessed against real part families and actual performance targets, with the MTC's technical expertise available to support the process.
For teams already working with the MTC on Aerospace or Defense development programs, the path to evaluating manufacturing-driven generative design is now direct and supported.
